    Years you attended Christian College?

I have attended Christian College since 3-year-old kinder at Williams House in 2010, finishing in Year 12 this year.

Subjects taken at Unit 3/4 level?

In Year 12 I took English, Specialist Maths, Maths Methods, Economics, and History: Revolutions. I also accelerated Legal Studies and General Maths in Year 11. I chose these subjects as they provide a well-rounded education in the fields of Humanities and Mathematics.

Summing up the Year 12 experience in 2025…

Year 12 teaches you to work hard and then relax. Don’t focus all in on your studies to the extent that you burn out, rather give yourself time to ease up and unwind by doing the activities that you enjoy most.

Other areas of College life you’ve enjoyed?

I have enjoyed participating in the sports programme over my time at Christian College. Special thanks should go to Mr Andrew Richardson and Mr Matt Murnane who have worked as hard as anyone in organising a wide array of sports offered at the College – football, cricket and Gaelic to name just a few.

Next year I intend to study Commerce at the University of Melbourne, with an aim to have a career in the financial sector.

Ways in which Christian College has shaped you as a person?

Having been at CCG since three-year-old kinder, the school has been a constant part of my life and has shaped me in many ways beyond academics. Over the years, I’ve developed resilience, independence, and the ability to adapt to new people and expectations. The experience of spending my entire schooling in one environment has also helped me understand the importance of consistency, self-motivation, and finding my own direction within a familiar setting. By learning how to take initiative, manage responsibilities, and work effectively with others, it’s allowed me to grow not just academically, but personally.

      Years you attended Christian College?

I began at Christian College in Prep at the Bellarine Campus and have attended the College all the way through until Year 12.

Subjects taken at Unit 3/4 level?

This year I studied Literature, General Maths, Biology, Legal Studies and History: Revolutions however, last year I also accelerated in Australian History. My passion for Humanities and writing is what initially led me to accelerate in History. However, in Year 10, I also discovered my deep love of Science that has only continued to grow and is now the path I wish to follow in the future.

Summing up the Year 12 experience in 2025…

2025 was fast-paced and at times stressful but it was also one of my favourite years of school. The sense of camaraderie and connection within our Year 12 cohort was so unique, as everyone understood the pressure of the year and therefore cherished and embraced every unique experience which helped to make every moment of stress worthwhile.

Other areas of College life you’ve enjoyed?

I have loved being part of the Music Program since Prep, first learning the piano and later the clarinet, allowing me to join numerous bands and enjoy experiences like College Music Evenings and various competitions. I also enjoyed the CCG Sport Program, especially GISSA, with our winning GISSA netball team a particular highlight, allowing me to form friendships across year levels. I have also valued the unique language program, studying Japanese until Year 11, which gave me the opportunity to take part in the cultural exchange last year as well as represent Australia at the Wakayama Forum.

      Plans for 2026?

I hope to study Science at either Deakin University or the University of Melbourne with the eventual goal of specialising in Epidemiology.

Ways in which Christian College has shaped you as a person?

The many leadership opportunities I was granted during my time at CCG, as both a College Prefect in Year 9 and House Prefect this year, helped me to grow my compassion, strengthen my time management skills and form many meaningful connections across year levels – qualities which I believe have strengthened my confidence and helped me to grow as a person. Unique opportunities like Farm and the Japan exchange also played a significant role in developing my independence as well as empathy, helping to deepen my understanding of the world.

        Years you attended Christian College?

I have attended Christian College from Year 5-12 (2028-2025).

Subjects taken at Unit 3/4 level?

I did general English and Maths, Biology, Health and PE. I’m interested in the sporting field and am looking to study in this area in the future. I am quite sporty myself, so I thought these subjects would tie and well with what I love doing.

Summing up the Year 12 experience in 2025…

2025 had definitely been a year of ups and downs. Studying was quite draining and stressful at times, but savouring the last opportunities for things like school sports days and enjoying them as much as possible made the year fun too.

Other areas of College life you’ve enjoyed?

Definitely sport. I absolutely love House Athletics and Swimming- competing for my house, getting into the spirit of it and making some great memories with my friends. The sport carnivals and the lunch time sports have been something I’ve embraced and enjoyed, especially in that it’s a refreshing break from the study week.

        Plans for 2026?

In 2026, I’m aiming to get accepted into Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University in Ballarat. The course very much interests me, and I think it ties in well with what I love to do. However, I’m most likely to take a gap year to focus on my athletics for a bit to see how far I can make it.

Ways in which Christian College has shaped you as a person?

Christian College shaped me as a person in that I learnt the importance of surrounding myself with supportive people. All the help I received from teachers this year and the laughter and encouragement from friends has shown me that in order to succeed, assistance in all forms is necessary, something I will keep in mind for future study.
