In 2026, we’re excited to launch our Parents & Families Program, a new initiative designed to bring our community even closer together across all Campuses and Kindergartens. This program is all about strengthening relationships, creating a genuine sense of belonging, and supporting meaningful opportunities for families to get involved in College life.

From special events to fundraising,  volunteering on camps, excursions, and other campus‑based activities, there will be plenty of ways for families to contribute, connect, and make a difference in the student experience at your selected Campus.

Open to all parents, guardians and grandparents of students enrolled at Christian College Geelong, including Kindergarten families. Membership continues for as long as a member has a child attending the relevant campus.

What is the purpose of the P&F?

The P&F program is all about building strong connections across our College community, helping families feel welcome and part of something special at each campus. It supports initiatives that enhance student wellbeing and engagement across the College. There are plenty of ways to get involved, from fundraising and activities to camps, excursions, and the many events and opportunities available across our campuses.

Can I volunteer without joining the P&F?
All parent, guardian, and grandparent volunteers will be welcomed under the P&F, creating a cohesive and streamlined approach across the College. Existing volunteers who have already signed a volunteer agreement will be sent an updated code of conduct and will merge into the new program this year. 

How can I find out more information? 
An information session will be held on Thursday 16 July at 1:30 pm at the Belmont (Junior School Campus) for families from all Christian College campuses who would like to learn more. To help us with planning, please register here if you wish to attend. Attendance is not compulsory. 

What if I am not a parent, guardian or a grandparent of a currently enrolled student? Can I still get involved in the school?

Absolutely!  If you are one of our current volunteers who has an agreement, we welcome you to continue volunteering as normal. 

If you are not a current volunteer and would like to get involved, our active and inclusive Christian College Geelong Foundation is always looking for new members who are passionate about making a difference. The Foundation’s purpose is simple but profound: transforming lives through the gift of education.

The Foundation raise funds to support students and families experiencing hardship, and we invest in facilities and programs that help make our College great. It fosters a culture of generosity and genuine connection, where every contribution, whether time, skill, or financial support strengthens and uplifts our community. There are many ways to get involved, from volunteering at events such as our Golf Day, Christmas Carols, and other community gatherings, to supporting behind‑the‑scenes projects that help the College thrive. How much time do I have to commit if I sign up for the P&F at my campus?
Each campus P&F will have regular meetings, events and activities that you can get involved in. You can sign up for as much or as little involvement that suits your lifestyle, work and family commitments.

Who will run the P&F at my Campus?
The P&F program will have a Co-ordinator, Assistant Co-ordinator and a Secretary at each Campus which will operate regular meetings under the guidance of each Head of Campus. If you would like to be considered for a P&F leadership position, you will have the option of nominating yourself for consideration in the sign-up process.

Accountability for the P&F program sits with the Head of Campus/Kindergarten Director, with ultimate oversight provided by the College Executive Principal.

Do I need a Working with Children’s Check to be involved?
The safety and welfare of our children are of the utmost importance and therefore all volunteers are required to hold a current Working with Children Check. These checks are free of charge and can be easily applied for online via the Service Victoria website: https://www.service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children/. Proof of this compliance must be provided before any involvement in the program can commence.

Does the P&F program have any Operational Guidelines?

Yes. There is a P&F Charter that outlines operating guidelines that can be accessed upon request from each Campus.

Each activity that the P & F operates will:
– Uphold and promote the College’s Christian ethos and values.
– Value all families and foster an inclusive culture across all Campuses
– Act in the best interests of the College.
– Work collaboratively, respect differing perspectives, and act with integrity.
– Respect College leaders, teachers, staff, and academic programs.
– Prioritise student wellbeing and safety at all times.
– Comply with all College policies, procedures, and Child Safe Standards.

To support a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for everyone, all P&F members are asked to agree to and uphold a shared Code of Conduct, which ensures membership remains active.
