Middle School Mathematics – Highton Campus, full-time, ongoing
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and pedagogical developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification or license for the appropriate grade level.
- Previous teaching experience in a Mathematics setting preferred.

The role will also include responsibility as a Homeroom Teacher in our Years 7-9 pastoral program.
Middle School Digital Technologies – Highton Campus, part-time (0.5FTE), ongoing
Christian College Geelong has Part-time (0.5 FTE) and ongoing Digital Technologies Teacher position available at our Middle School in Highton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and pedagogical developments.

- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

Food Studies (ability to teach PE an advantage) – Senior Campus, part-time (0.6FTE), ongoing

Key Responsibilities:
- Food Studies:
- Develop and deliver engaging food studies curriculum, covering topics such as culinary arts, nutrition, food safety, and food culture.
- Create hands-on learning experiences, including cooking demonstrations, tastings, and food-related projects.
- Foster an inclusive and creative classroom environment that encourages students to explore their culinary interests.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay current with industry trends and educational best practices related to food studies.
- Physical Education:
- Plan and lead physical education classes, focusing on fitness, sports, and overall well-being.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
- Assess and monitor students’ physical development and provide guidance on improving their fitness levels.
- Organise and supervise sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards physical fitness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Studies, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.
- Previous teaching experience in food studies, PE, or related subjects preferred.
- Strong passion for and knowledge of both food/nutrition and physical fitness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Middle School Japanese – Highton Campus, part-time (0.5FTE), ongoing
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective Japanese language lessons to students of various proficiency levels.
- Create a dynamic and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on their language skills.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Japanese language program.
- Stay updated on language teaching methodologies and incorporate them into lessons.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language, Education, or a related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese.
- Previous experience teaching Japanese as a foreign language preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods.
