Welcome to a new-look Art, Technology & Design Festival!
After a two-year break, we are excited to once again stage our Art, Technology and Design Festival on our Villa Paloma site at
25 Waurn Ponds Drive, Waurn Ponds.
As the name ‘Festival’ implies, we’ve made some changes to the format, with some brilliant new ideas and initiatives to make this a better, more diverse and fun, free family-friendly event.
This year, as well as the magnificent exhibition of student work, there will be live music, a Food Studies market stall and gelato bar, food trucks, coffee and, on the opening evening, a wearable art and textile fashion parade. On Saturday, the fun, food and festivities continue, with another highlight being the opportunity to ‘meet the creators’ with guest students discussing their work and creative processes.
We hope to see you with your family and friends – bring a picnic rug if you like. Join the festivities and celebrate the richness and diversity of our students’ creative talent and expression – from Early Learning right through to Year 12.
Sample our 2022 Student Artwork
The Festival’s central purpose remains the same – to celebrate the amazing creative art and design work done by students across our five campuses and two Early Learning centres. With no interruptions to the 2022 school year brought about by lockdowns, our students have greatly appreciated, and benefitted from, the opportunity to attend their classes throughout this year – developing vital skills, enjoying the space, resources, facilities and face-to-face interaction with not only their creative peers but also our incredible specialist teaching staff who bring wide-ranging expertise and knowledge, which ignites and empowers the interests and passions of our students at all year levels.
Plenty to Tempt the Taste Buds…
A popular subject in Art, Technology and Design is Food Studies. For this year’s Festival, our Food Studies students will run a market stall on both Festival days, as well as a gelato bar. Added to that, a range of food and beverage trucks will be onsite on Friday to ensure no-one goes home hungry!
